4-Week Strategy Framework
Week 1Foundation Building
Objective
Establish consistent execution with minimal risk. Target 2-3% profit while never risking more than 1% per trade. Focus on building confidence and protecting against the 6% max total loss rule.
Position Sizing
Risk maximum 1% per trade, preferably 0.5-0.75%. With The5ers' 6% total drawdown limit, you have room for 6-12 losing trades if you stay disciplined. Never compound position sizes in week 1.
Mindset
This is a marathon, not a sprint. The5ers gives you unlimited time, so use it. Your only job this week is to prove you can follow your rules consistently. Treat every trade like it matters because one bad day can't exceed that 3% daily loss limit.
If Ahead
If you hit 2-3% by mid-week, reduce risk to 0.25-0.5% per trade and focus on maintaining gains. Don't get overconfident - you're building a foundation, not chasing quick wins.
If Behind
If you're down 2-3%, stop trading for 2-3 days. Analyze what went wrong. With unlimited time, there's no rush. Never chase losses or increase position size. The 6% total loss rule means you can't afford many mistakes.
Week 2Momentum Building
Objective
Target 3-5% cumulative profit while maintaining strict risk management. Start building toward that 10% target but stay well within The5ers' risk parameters. Focus on quality setups only.
Position Sizing
Maintain 1% maximum risk per trade, but you can be more selective and potentially use 0.75-1% on your highest conviction setups. Still no compounding - keep position sizing consistent regardless of account growth.
Mindset
You should be feeling more comfortable now. The unlimited time limit is your friend - use it to be patient. Remember, there's no consistency rule with The5ers, so a few good days can make up for flat periods. Stay disciplined on that 3% daily loss limit.
If Ahead
If you're at 4-6% total profit, you're in excellent shape. Consider reducing risk slightly to 0.75% per trade to protect gains. You're nearly halfway to that 10% target with plenty of time.
If Behind
If still under 2% profit or facing drawdown, don't panic. You have unlimited time and no minimum trading days requirement. Take a step back, review your best setups, and stick to 0.5% risk per trade until you regain confidence.
Week 3Target Approach
Objective
Push toward 7-8% total profit while respecting The5ers' risk limits. You're in the final stretch - balance aggression with protection of gains. Start thinking about challenge completion.
Position Sizing
You can now use 1-1.25% risk per trade on premium setups, but never exceed 1.5%. With 7-8% profit, you're close enough that capital preservation becomes critical. The 3% daily loss rule is still your biggest threat.
Mindset
You're in striking distance of that 10% target. This is where discipline matters most. The5ers' single-phase structure means you just need to cross this line once. Don't let impatience ruin weeks of good work.
If Ahead
If you're at 7-8% or higher, consider reducing risk to 0.5-0.75% per trade. You only need 2-3% more profit, so protect what you have. Quality over quantity from here.
If Behind
If you're still under 5%, don't despair. No time limit means you can extend this phase. Drop back to 0.75% risk per trade and focus on consistent base hits rather than home runs.
Week 4Challenge Completion
Objective
Secure that final 2-3% needed to hit The5ers' 10% target. Focus on high-probability setups only and capital preservation. Prepare for the psychological pressure of being close to success.
Position Sizing
Risk 0.75-1% maximum per trade. If you're at 8-9% profit, consider even smaller sizes of 0.5% risk. You're so close that one good trade could finish this challenge. The 6% total loss rule still applies - don't get careless.
Mindset
This is the hardest week psychologically. You can taste success but one bad day hitting that 3% loss limit could set you back significantly. Stay patient, stay disciplined. The5ers gives you unlimited time - use it wisely.
If Ahead
If you hit 10% or more, congratulations! You've passed. If you're at 9%+, trade extremely conservatively with 0.25-0.5% risk until you secure that final bit. The finish line is right there.
If Behind
If you're still working toward 10%, remember this isn't really 'week 4' - it's just another week in your unlimited timeframe. Stick to your process, maintain 0.75% risk, and trust that consistent execution will get you there.
