1. Who We Are

The Trading Playbook (thetradingplaybook.com) is an independent informational website operated from Ireland. We publish comparisons and educational content about proprietary trading firms. For data-related enquiries, contact us at hello@thetradingplaybook.com.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the site:

  • Email address — when you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter via the sign-up form. This is the only personal data we actively collect.
  • Analytics data — Vercel Analytics collects anonymised page-view statistics (pages visited, approximate country, device type). No personally identifiable information is stored; IP addresses are not retained.
  • Cookie preference — a functional cookie storing whether you have accepted or rejected analytics cookies.

We do not collect names, payment information, trading account details, or any sensitive personal data.

3. Why We Collect It

  • Email address: To send you the newsletter you subscribed to — rule changes, firm updates, and deal alerts. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Analytics: To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), subject to your cookie consent.
  • Cookie preference: To remember your consent choice. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

4. How Long We Keep It

  • Email address: Until you unsubscribe. On unsubscribe your address is removed from our mailing list within 7 days.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated, anonymised statistics retained indefinitely. No personal data is retained.
  • Cookie preference: 365 days, after which consent is re-requested.

5. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with the following third-party processors:

  • Resend(resend.com) — email delivery. Your email address is stored in Resend's audience database. Resend is GDPR-compliant and processes data in the US under standard contractual clauses.
  • Vercel (vercel.com) — website hosting and anonymised analytics. Vercel is GDPR-compliant.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent: Unsubscribe from email at any time via the link in any email.
