Risk Guide
AquaFunded's $150k account gives you a $7,500 daily loss buffer, but this can disappear faster than you think. At 1% risk ($1,500 per trade), you can survive exactly 5 consecutive losses before hitting the daily limit. At 2% risk ($3,000 per trade), just 2.5 losing trades wipes you out - meaning two full losses plus any small losing scalp ends your day. Here's where traders get burned: they hit two 2% losses (-$6,000), then take 'just a small scalp' risking $800, lose it, and boom - $6,800 total puts them over the $7,500 limit. Account terminated. Position sizing math for this account: For EURUSD with 30-pip stops, 1% risk allows 5 standard lots ($1,500 ÷ $300). With 50-pip stops, drop to 3 standard lots. For Gold (XAUUSD), if you're risking $10 per pip, 1% risk allows 150 contracts ($1,500 ÷ $10). The key is working backwards from your dollar risk to position size, not the other way around. Phase 1 requires $15,000 profit (10%) to advance. Phase 2 needs just $7,500 more (5%). Most traders blow up in Phase 1 because they overtrade trying to hit that $15,000 target quickly. At 1% average winners, you need 10 net winning trades minimum. At 2% average winners, just 5 net winners gets you there - but remember, 2% risk means only 2.5 trades to blow the daily limit. Once funded, nothing changes in the risk management. Same $7,500 daily limit, same $15,000 max drawdown. The only difference is you're trading live money and getting paid. Stick to 1% risk maximum - it gives you staying power and enough profit potential to hit targets consistently.
